Directions to Harvey’s

from the airport
from the ferry
from the M50 motorway

Dublin Airport is located 10 km North West of the city center; it is linked to Dublin by the N1 motorway. On leaving the arrivals lounge, turn LEFT outside the main doors. You will have two options. Taxis are available, tell the drivers to bring you to 11 Upper Gardiner St. Off of Dorset st

Time/Cost: Between ?20 and ?25.

Recommended Public Bus.

You do not need a bus pass here in the city centre, some airlines are selling these.

When you leave the arrivals level, outside to the left you will see various buses and taxis, however to the extreme left are the 16 and 41 double Decker buses which are traveling out from and inbound to the city. So you get the inbound bus with 1.75 Euros in EXACT change.

You will take this bus in 6 km until you go under a railway bridge and then over a small HUMPBACK CANAL bridge (stadium to the left as you go over it) there are 3 short lights close together and you will get of just after the 3rd light. This is the junction of Dorset st and Upper Gardiner st. Step off the bus to the left and walk back to the 3rd light and turn right on the same footpath, then on up the street around the bend and after the church you will see us on the right just after the pedestrian lights. 2nd purple door

Bus Station ? Bus Aras

The main Bus station is located on the corner of Beresford Pl. and Amiens St. (opposite the Customs House

On leaving the Bus Station, walk WEST until you reach Lower Gardiner St. Turn Right and walk to Upper Gardiner St. 500m, once you walk past Mount Joy Square, we are 100m on the left.

Time/Cost: 15 minutes.

Train Station - Connelly Street Station

Station is located across the street from the Bus Station. Connelly is located on Amiens St.

On leaving the Bus Station, walk WEST until you reach Lower Gardiner St. Turn LEFT and walk to Upper Gardiner St., once you walk past Mount Joy Square, we are across the lights on the left.

Time: 15 ? 20 minutes.

Train Station ? Huston Station

Huston Station is located 2 km south west of the city centre.

It is probably best to get a Taxi, as the walk can be quite strenuous with baggage.

Time: 10 Minutes, ?12 there is a bus link to the bus station

DRIVING BY CAR FROM THE SOUTH

When you are driving drive along the south coast on the N11 follow the signs for the city and then for the airport or N1 you should be guided onto Pearse St, then across the bridge by Liberty hall (tall building with wavy roof)

Follow traffic around to the left under Railway Bridge twice and on to Lower Gardiner St,

Proceed to the top of the road past the Hill 16 pub passed the square we are on the left-hand side after 2 sets of traffic lights with the park to your right as you are going through these lights.

This is now Upper Gardiner ST and we are 80 yards on the left with a brown sign over the door

FROM DUBLIN FERRY PORT

AS YOU LEAVE THE DOCK ON A STRAIGHT ROAD YOU WILL PASS ALL THE OIL TANKS AND AT THE END THERE IS A POLICE CHECKPOINT. TURN LEFT THEN TURN RIGHT AT THE 1ST SET OF LIGHTS GO STRAIGHT ON PAST WAREHOUSES AND THROUGH THE NEXT LIGHTS OVER BRIDGE VEERING RIGHT AND STRAIGHT ON PAST THE CHURCH AFTER ALL THE HOUSES YOU GO UNDER THE BRIDGE AND STRAIGHT THROUGH THE NEXT LIGHTS. UP THE HILL AND THROUGH NEXT LIGHTS ROAD VERES LEFT THROUGH NEXT LIGHT THEN AT NEXT LIGHTS YOU TURN A BROAD LEFT (NOT ACUTE) AND UP FITZGIBBON ST YOU ARE NOW FACING MOUNTJOY SQ GO STRAIGHT THROUGH LIGHT AND DOWN THE NEXT LIGHT TURN RIGHT ONTO UPPERGARDINER ST AND WE ARE 100YARDS ON THE LEFT BROWN SIGN OVER THE DOOR

From the west N4

As you approach the city centre you are traveling along the north side of the River Liffy, past all the bridges you will see the Halfpenny Bridge (pedestrians only)

Turn left at the next traffic light onto O?Connell Street, continue straight 400m then at the end of the st you turn left onto Parnell street

Then right onto Parnell Square, then right again across the top of Parnell Sq Straight on past the church spire onto Denmark st, straight onto Gardiner Place to the 2nd traffic light where you turn left into Upper Gardiner st and we are 80 m on the left .1st purple door.

DRIVING FROM THE SOUTH WEST N7

As you approach Dublin on the N7 you will cross the M%) ring road and will proceed through many lights then the road narrows after you have passed the Canal there are a couple of lights and the incline is down about 1/2 a mile you will come to a junction where you turn right the road bears left and you stay straight on for 2 miles and you will come across Trinity College.
At this point the one way system brings you towards O?Connell Bridge which you cross.
Up O?Connell street past the post office and silver spire and at the end you must turn left .
Then a right onto Parnell SQ and then right again across the top of Parnell SQ then straight on by the church spire and onto Denmark st pedestrian light and then a traffic light onto Gardiner place.
